TREND-DESIGN textiles are more than just a piece of fabric that keeps cut hair off the customer's clothing. Hairdressing capes remain in contact with the customer for longer during their entire stay in the salon than care products, comb and scissors. They are professional tools and additionally create a special feel-good atmosphere at the workstation. This turns a tool into a salon accessory that particularly enhances the appearance of the hair salon.
As a family business with more than 30 years of experience, TREND-DESIGN offers high-quality salon textiles for professional hairdressers. Whether all-rounders for cutting AND colouring, a cape made from eucalyptus fibres or custom-made designs in individual styles for quantities from 300 pieces – TREND-DESIGN always has the right solution for the hairdressing trade. Hook or press stud fastening? For colouring, cutting or both? You can find the impressive product range at our distribution partners in the professional hairdressing wholesale trade. In 1991, our grandfather, businessman Günter Möller, and his son, business graduate Albert Möller, laid the foundation for the TREND-DESIGN success story. In the business premises where Günter Möller’s father-in-law had previously worked as a textile wholesaler, hairstyle posters and books were stored for the first time. Capes did not yet play a decisive role until our uncle Albert Möller quickly recognised the demand and developed high-quality capes – transforming them from a necessary accessory into a stylish must-have. Function, fabric quality and workmanship gained appreciation as hairdressers realised that their capes could do more than simply keep unwanted cut hair away.
Through continuous development, such as expanded colour choices and stain resistance, the brand image became firmly established. The use of hand slits has become a defining feature of TREND-DESIGN capes to this day. As Team TREND-DESIGN, we feel a strong commitment to meeting our customers’ quality expectations and place great importance on adapting our products to future requirements, for example through sustainable materials.
Always forward-thinking in his actions, Albert Möller handed over the management of TREND-DESIGN to his nephew Florian Ramspoth in 2017. This vote of confidence was both an incentive and motivation for us, as nieces and nephews, to continue the success story as a family business. In 2023, Johannes Ramspoth and Simone Kurzhals joined the family company. True to the motto: “Those who walk in another’s footsteps leave no tracks of their own (Wilhelm Busch)”, we look forward to further developing the TREND-DESIGN brand with our own ideas and goals.
